ABOUT THE COMPANY

Wilhelmsen-Smith Bell Manning, Inc. (WSBMI) is a manning agency owned by Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) and Smith Bell.

WSBMI operates more than 100 vessels in different segments like RORO, Bulk Carriers, Gas and Oil Tankers, Passenger and Offshore. 

We continuously operate towards the vision “to provide the right seafarer, at the right cost, at the right place, and at the right time.” Our services include the following basic crewing coordination and processes.

• Selection and deployment of recruited and accepted crew.
• Management of Rotation Plans for enhanced efficiency of crew retention.
• Documentation processing including crew pre-medical employment examinations, contract and flag state processing.
• Travel coordination including applicable visa applications.
• Training and career development coordination.
• Allotment handling coordination.
• Family and welfare program coordination.

We adhere to the belief that “our seafarers’ success is our success”. To be able to mutually benefit of the above processes, the following are guidelines on the various coordination procedures that shall remind our seafarers of the proper stream of transaction during your visit at WBSBMI.

• Crewing Officers and Crewing Assistants are seafarers’ one point of contact prior to commencement of any transactions related to crewing and the operations related to pre-embarkation and disembarkation of seafarers. 
• Contract signing of seafarers are scheduled from 0900 to 1200. 
• Off-signers are scheduled to report at 0100 to 0500. 
• All seafarers are encouraged to observe proper dress code while at the premises of WBSBMI. 
• Officers are to wear a polo shirt and slacks. 
• Ratings to wear shirt with collar and slacks or jeans.
